ABSA Homeloan incorrect debits

So had a nasty surprise this morning with an additional home loan debit against my cheque account for someone else's bond. Now going through the hoops about having the debit reversed etc so my other payments aren't affected.

Anyone else have any nasty surprises? Apparently I wasn't the only one so the issue may be more widespread.

My own bank declined me and I have a

FNB Bank my Change
FNB Personal Loan
FNB FlexiDeposit

VW Finance (Wesbank)
Discovery Credit (Underwritten by FNB)

Well, they resolved by end of the day but still a horrible experience. I still want to know what happened because a Homeloan debit is not as simple as a normal one. I know we had to do ours with the bond attorneys at the time so I want to know where the screw-up came in.
