Anybody on Afrihost or MTN also getting a "The Absa Internet Banking website is currently unavailable." message on ABSA Internet Banking site (https://ib.absa.co.za/ib/ib.jsp)?

Works fine from VC mobile data, and Afrihost reckons there are no issues.

Hi simp, I have tested this and I am able to access it without any trouble.

Appreciate the feedback, MWEB Guy. Any ideas on how to trouble-shoot from my end?

That's a good question.

I see DrJohnZoidberg is also having trouble with a different ISP account.

It could be intermittent trouble with the site.

I'm also on Afrihost, but they use your network for ADSL, don't they?

Just routed it via our OpenWeb (IS) connection and instantly worked. Looks like a routing issue on Afrihost.

Morning all :)

We aren't seeing any issues on our end, looks like there are a few ABSA clients reporting issues though.

Also down for me. Except all I got was a blank page.

We've run a few tests not from our own Mobile and DSL accounts (using standard ADSL lines and connections) - no issues that we can see. Connecting as normal.

Maybe clear your cache before you try again.

Please read you T&C for internet banking from ABSA, it clearly states, that the site will be down on a friday, on payday and the last working day of the month. It is the price you as a customer pays when ABSA retrenches their IT staff and out sources it to the a cheap company in India.
