trying to do a one off payment, it asks for the branch code, type in the universal one, says its invalid?
will making it any fnb branch code work?
It should work, but rather play it safe and check with FNB tomorrow.trying to do a one off payment, it asks for the branch code, type in the universal one, says its invalid?
will making it any fnb branch code work?
are you with absa ld13 ?
adding as a beneficiary worked. that is so backward!
if branch code is 6 digits you got to add 00 at the end.hey there
trying to do an internet transfer to an fnb account, and it wont accept the universal fnb branch code as the branch code ?
any help
Branch codes act as a second check to make sure the payment is correctly allocated. If that acc number not at the branch than the bank will check first (this is old system)Just add it as a beneficiary...no need to worry about the branch code then. I cannot comment about making payments to 'random' branch codes. The banks need to remove the stupid branch codes in any case....
