Absa's internet banking

Still waiting on Absa to sms me my RVN number so that I can complete a rather urgent transaction.....Its been like two hours now! Am I the only one experiencing this level of crap today, or is there a bigger problem?:erm:

I'd blame the cellular provider more than absa. SMS is a best try service and not guaranteed. Try switching to a backup notification: email etc.
 
make sure ABSA has your correct cell number, happened to me they typed in one digit incorrectly
 
Longest delay I have had is like 2 mins. Always received it though.
 
doesn't ABSA have a email backup. With FNB, if the sms doesn't come through, you can have it sent by email as a second option/backup.

Got my notification of logging on about 20 minutes after my session was finished(about 30 minutes total time from when it should be sent) This was about 7o'clock this morning.
Vodacom here.

Just tested again and got the notification of logging on immediately :)
 
this morning it worked fine, guess its only the network thats busy or something....but frustrating

No delays on any of the networks - just checked out MT/MO queues and all are fine. If your number has been ported there could be an issue with ABSA service provider having a corrupt CRDB database - not that there have been any problems there either.

Last resort will be your local tower - just mentioning the usual list we got through when we cannot submit an MT to a handset.
