Academy Award results

I really enjoyed Argo and it really kept me on the edge of my seat right till the end. Definitely one of my favourite movies this year. Lincoln was good but it felt overly long in places. Life of Pi probably didn't get the nod because of it's ambiguous view on religion. I think the decision for best director was a good one if for no other reason that some of the shots in Life of Pi are damn amazing to look at.

But the most controversial Oscar was for Brave. WTF! Paranorman was MUCH better than Brave! I watched Paranorman on a Friday evening and went the next day to watch it again!
 
Affleck the main character in Argo had the same expression right throughout the film most of the others characters had too so for that reason it was a bit strange to watch. If you knew the story and what would happen then the movie seemed pretty boring.


I feel some sort of political agenda being pushed by the academy to let it win.

Odd indeed.

Argo was an good movie, i would have put Life of Pi, Zero Dark Thirty and even Silver linings above it.
 
Awesome that our documentary won, beat a couple of good ones.
Christoph Waltz was indeed brilliant, second oscar for him, both from Tarantino movies.
