Access lan over internet

Give this a try and see what IP it resolves (should be a public IP of your internet router where you setup the portforward rules on)
If it works fine from inside the lan then the problem could only be with the port forward rules on the adsl/internet router... unless your isp is blocking incoming connections as well...

If I ping the dyndns address it resolves the internet ip correctly, i.e. it pings the wan ip address. What I do see however, is that the ping times is all 1ms. This probably means that it pings the router directly, and not via internet.

If the port forwarding I've done opens the correct webpages within the lan, where could the port forwarding be wrong?

Not by any chance you with Mweb?

Yes, Mweb is the isp. And I think this is the problem. Some port numbers work, others not.

Mweb blocks some ports by default,can disable it on the control panel
