Thanks guys. I will let you know what I have decided. It's just me and my gf.

My GF and I did the South Coast last year November, stayed at a place called Laguna La Crete at Uvongo beach.

Direct beach access, incredible quality flat with amazing views, serviced with ample parking.

Best of all, it cost us next to nothing as we went in late November just before the start of peak season.

We booked through Van Heerden letting (link above) and the entire thing was a breeze.

You're pretty close to the main Shelly Centre, have access to Shelly beach if fishing is your thing, and a host of public swimming beaches in the surrounding areas. Would recommend it any time.

If you're in the area, be sure to order some hake from Tight Line Fisheries, really good value and very tasty. An indian place called GiGi's in Shelly Centre (next to Wimpy) is also fantastic food wise (though the manager does get very talkative at times).

Isn't Laguna the place with the dassies?
