I like it. It's lekker transparent especially the price table.

Quickbooks is in no way a Sage product. Quickbooks is built by Intuit

Sorry, I was not thinking straight, of course QB is built by Intuit. There is some link, at one stage Pastel (since bought by Sage) and QuickBooks shared the same building/campus and both their CEO's have the same surname (Epstein). Brothers, cousins, perhaps? But I suppose they are not in the same stable anymore.

QuickBooks is vastly superior to Pastel in terms of functionality, especially reporting and access to transactions (drilldown, search, etc.)

Yes, for example, Pastel has a search function, but this is like a wheelbarrow without a wheel in comparison with QuickBooks' Porsche. Yes, Pastel has drilldown, but not everywhere/everything.

Very few people have used both products, so don't believe everything you hear/read. Get a full demo copy of QuickBooks and see for yourself.

QuickBooks is also a Sage product.

Qb is not pastel as you claimed.

I conceded on the QB/Sage point. I was just wondering if you disagreed with everything I said?

Know its old, but been looking for recommendations.
Seems consensus to be Pastel.
Anything else out there that would be worth a try?
