Acer Aspire 5571 - Windows XP

I do understand that from April 2014 there will be no updates for XP. Is it possible to upgrate my laptop, the IT people said it would not be possible. Please help.....I bought it in Emarites and would like to keep on using it.

Just because there will be no updates for XP doesn't mean you won't be able to use it.

I suggest posting the specs of the laptop (I'm not sure if there are variations to the specs that I've found). If these are the specs, I think you're in a bit of trouble.

Windows 8.1 minimum requirements are noted here. If you can upgrade your RAM, I'd go with that.
