Acer Aspire One

I received a Acer Aspire One mini laptop to test yesterday.
It comes pre installed with Linux.
Apparently its the latest Acer laptop that you can order from Vodacom.

The issue i am having is that I am using a huawei e272 usb modem.
The laptop picks it up no problem but i am unable to execute the setup to install the software.
Presently VMC 9.3.3 is on the usb modem.

Can someone please advise me on how to get the software on the laptop.

I even tried manually installing the vmc software but I had the same problem I was unable to execute the software.

Um VMC doesn't work with Linux. What linux is on the laptop ?

So if the VMC does not work on linux how would I connect to the internet using the laptop because vodacom advertises that it has a "vodacom mobile broadband for fast internet access".

You can use the laptop but not with the software on the modem, Linpus is based on Fedora unfortunately I know nothing about Fedora will look around for you.
