Acer laptop repairs

Out of warranty you're better off doing it yourself, depending what the problem is, of course?

The PC has to go to JHB and if you don't accept the quote you pay for just doing it + postage of course. Costs are pretty high for old parts.

Also had problems with my Acer, wasn't willing to pay the big costs, luckily i could fix mine. Would recon u should take it to a specialist, maybe Matrix. They have helped me with allot and they r close to u. Or speak to Postmanpot. He helped me with my new rig, good prices and great service.

Good luck

Most service centres in Cape Town will send their stuff to JHB to be repaired - you foot the bill for the courier to send it there.

There is a Toshiba service centre here (x2).
You also pay for the quote if you don't accept it, which is not reasonable, considering the huge price of their OLD spare parts.

I have a 3-yr old Acer laptop and the cooling fan is starting to make a big noise (sounds like a lawnmower!) so I guess the thermal module needs to be replaced. Since the laptop is not under warranty anymore I need a repair centre who can fix this in Cape Town. Preferably cheap of course. Googling acer laptop repairs didn't really provide good info about reputable centres.

Any laptop repair shops in the northern suburbs of Cape Town? Any idea what it will cost?
