Acer laptops and matte/glossy screen.

My current Extansa 5630 is giving me uphill, when you shutdown it doesnt restart, only after 40min+.

So asked company to order another laptop for our office, seeing if I want it, travelmate P453.

All these travelmates the company orders seem to have krap screens in matte.
My current extensa has a nice glossy screen, side by side there's a big difference in my opinion.

Why does acer release matte screens?

I have them side by side on my desk and glossy looks much better, dont have an issue with glare here, load up a photo and glossy is far more clear.
Is matte just to prevent glare?

Yip, it seems both laptops have LCD's different resolution, use native resolution on both laptops when doing comparison.
