so i got buyer who i want to sell it to its in very good condition and 4 years old just battery doesnt work so tried to negotiate price of R3000 for laptop and R1000 for windows but hes saying its too much.

After researching prices thats what i came up with and dont want to sell for less than its worth according to prices ive seen second hand ones sell for.

Is this price too much or am i being reasonable or should i try dropping to R3500?

Forgot to say hes using it for business so he has to have a certified copy of windows for this laptop which i'm selling it with since serial keys on sticker on back of it and its windows xp pro

you can get a 2nd hand core2 duo for that price excluding vat so my honest opinion is R2000.00 to R2500.00 that model is like a centrino 17ghz if memmory serves me correctly, what are the specs?
 
1.66 ghz dual core centrino 1gb ram 80gb harddrive DDR 2 ram

so should i rather charge R3500 then if we add xp pro to price?
 
You could always have the battery repacked if the control circuitry is fine.
 
i still have original battery which was faulty can they repair those for cheap to save him money?
