Activated Charcoal for bloatedness (Does it work?)

I have used the powder (last week in fact) and it is very cheap. Get ready for a black mouth and stool. Quite a laugh. Oh yes it works.

OH cool! You guys can be looking forward to pics! lolz

Tnx Satan. I think I will opt for capsules if possible. The idea of drinking charcoal powder really does not float my boat. :-)

I only drink DeCaf though....so surely my coffee still counts as water as it has no caffeine witch is a diuretic?

The problem with coffee is it dehydrates you, dehydration causes bloating. Instead of trying all these fancy charcoal tablets and blah blah try drinking a half a glass of water an hour or even a full glass .

Why do you want to spend money on all these fancy gimmicks when you could just drink tap water or for the more pedantic bottled water? :D. Water is a key aspect of any healthy diet. It does so much for your system. Far more than activated charcoal. By drinking your one puny glass of water before time you are bloating yourself up because now your body in survival mode and that means storing every little ml of water you put into it, thus you bloat like a beachball haha

But I only drink DeCaf....and it is the caffeine that dehydrates you.

heh? It is a scientific fact that caffeine is a diuretic is it not?

Yes but caffeine is not the only reason it dehydrates you, you use milk and sugar right? Do you think caffeine free soda's don't dehydrate you?

Besides if the coffee is not dehydrating you surely the lack of water will? If i may ask though, you are willing to try all these other gimmicks but not water which is proven to reduce bloating? Charcoal tablets are proven to do nothing but sell to people who don't think natural foods and water will help them :D.

Eat fruit?????? drink more water????????? F no i just got my 180 tablets of activated charcoal bitches!!!!!!!

lol damn that was funny. I will try both. The reason why I am not sure if it will help is I am not normally this bloated. Started this winter but my diet and habits have not changed so that is why I dont know if water will help. I will take your and MickeyMoos's advise though and up my water intake (can I at least put some "aanmaak koeldrank" in there?....sorry...not sure what that is in english)...but I am still gonna try the charcoal also...fck I need to defalte and I need to deflate NOW! I cant stand this constantly burping and knyping a poep anymore! Driving me fcking nuts!

Something interesting as well is this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dichloromethane

That is what they use to remove the caffeine, sounds somewhat dangerous. I have not seen any warning labels but only some countries carry the warning :D.

It is interesting that decaf does not mean 100% as mickey points out. They say 97% is removed but honestly how do know. Does it say on the label how much caffeine is in the product?

So what you referring to meneer?
This... thanks Killa

Also tackling bloating is not as easy as swallowing some charc tablets and the other 5 products you plan on trying :D.

You need to identify when the bloating occurs, in the morning you should have a flat stomach, if you wake up bloated that would indicate digestion problems for sure. If you find you are flat and then sometime during the day you are blowing up then it means something you are consuming is causing the bloating. You need to figure out if the bloating is digestion related or food stuff related. For me when i drink whey protein i can literally see my stomach expanding for about 2 hours+ and the button must come off but the next morning my yummy is flat
