Hi Everyone
Could anyone please assist in solving a riddle that plagues me wrt Active LAN in Windows 7.
I have a Win2008 DC and ±15 mixed desktop/laptop devices attached as domain clients, all with cabled static LAN IP's and all connect to the domain using Ctrl/Alt/Del. There are also a few non-domain clients (±20) on the same LAN/WLAN but they on a different range in the IP address table. In other words the DC clients IP range is say 192.168.0.10 - 192.168.0.50 while the non-domain clients use 192.168.0.100 - 192.168.0.150.
The laptop users are required to take their notebooks offsite and connect to various Lan's in the wild. When some of them return to the office and reconnect to the domain the Network and Sharing Center information under Active Networks changes from the domain name, eg "domain.local", to "Network 3" and seems to cause havoc with Accpac and Pastel databases.
Any ideas to resolve this would be greatly appreciated thank you.
