Steven Spielberg will be bringing two of the most celebrated American actors together to star in his new political drama called: The Post.
This is according to Hollywood trade magazine Variety

For the very first time Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep will star together in a Steven Spielberg blockbuster.

The film will focus on the Washington Post's publication of the 1971 Pentagon Papers, which made headlines around the world when the newspaper's editor and publisher challenged the US federal government over their right to publish them.
 
Wonder if Meryl will get paid the same as Tom.

This has been an issue with female actresses in the US lately, they are starting to voice their dis-satisfaction ? Personally i think , if they are going to be the lead actors in this movie, they should be paid equally the same?

Depends on their star power.

Perfect example is House of Cards. If Kevin Spacey left the show it would die. If the lead actress playing his wife left the show, no one would care.

Nope. Hanks is a far bigger box office draw than Streep will ever be.
 
Tom Hanks should get more...he hasn't been out and about aggravating the cinema-going public.

While clearly not a fan of Trump, he's been more of an adult than many of the other Hollywood elites.

Meryl's daughter plays the FBI agent in Mr Robot S2. Heavily tattooed nogal.

I liked her in The River Wild playing against type. Just got the HD treatment.
