i ran an IT project in the UK that "white labelled" our online trading tools so that our clients could transparently use them for their clients...talk about value added. My ex CTO is a guru when it come to the future of IT - google "JP RAngaswami" particulalry lok at the article that says " Wish I had said That"

Man oh man - just did as you suggested, PEA, and I'm sure he is my alter-ego (or maybe I'm his)! Very OT, but I've found this situation many times before in other contexts - for example, I was playing Earl Klugh-style guitar (chorded melody) long before his first album was released and he became famous! Another example - many a book I've read says the same thing I've thought and spoke about previously, albeit in different words. I'm reminded of a science fiction short story (Asimov, I think), about 2 scientists feeding riddles to a computer that ran the world, and everything grinds to a halt when they ask it the question: 'What is the meaning of life?' (or something like that - and don't tell me 42!). Aahh - the associative process and the purity of thought: is there really nothing new under the Sun?
