Hi

I have a movie on my pc, from a dvd I bought. But it is in Part 1 and Part 2. Both avi file.

How can I merge them?

thanks

Your quickest and easiest way is to download a copy of VirtualDub
(www.virtualdub.org), load up part 1, then on file menu, select 'Append AVI Segment', select part 2. Set audio and video processing modes to 'direct stream copy' then go save to a new AVI. 2 mins later, you're done.

Yip have to agree with VirtulDub. Probably the best free video editing program out there.

Only problem though may be that the two *.avi files are not the same resolution, i.e. one may be 540x448 and the other 640x400. Virtual Dub will not allow you to merge the two files. Also the audio in the two files must have the same sampling rate. Otherwise, no go...:(
