How to add a second ISP on a router using Ubuntu 9.10????

I am new to both Linux and setting up my own internet.

I am currently using Telkom as my sole ISP on the router that they gave me, and now I have been recently issued a username and a password by another ISP. The problem is that I do not know how to add it. I added Telkom using Windows XP and when I plugged in this computer, it just connected and so I never did anything with linux on the moderm.
I am using Ubuntu 9.10 - Karmic Koala.

Please help, I am desperate.

You need to access your ADSL router via your web browser....the IP address would be 192.168.0.1 or try 10.0.0.2 - if you have an expensive router, the default settings should be on the router.

The username and password is normally ''admin'' & ''admin'', or ''admin'' & ''password''. Check on the web what's the defaults for your specific router, or phone Telkom Internet.

Once your on your router's config page, click on ''ADSL settings'', select ''my ISP needs a username and password'', type it in and logout of the router. That's it.

Remember to change you username and password for your router, the password and username you use to log into the router.

If you do not do this and someone gets your IP address then they can access your router and steal your account info, something that is very prevalent here in SA.

A n00b question , how would you setup two accounts ( ex. a telkom & axxess ) , when using the Mega 105wr router set in bridge mode ?
By the way running ( trying to run LinuxMint - Helena )

You mean you want to run it from the computer itself?

sudo pppoeconf

Follow the instructions
then

sudo mv /etc/ppp/peers/dsl-provider <account_name1>

Then the same for the second account.

To switch on/off
type

sudo pon/poff <account_name1>
sudo pon/poff <account_name2>

//(if pon)
sudo bash routingtableforlocalaccount
