Additional data : * Telkom Mobile Only

Hi Guys just a couple of questions regarding the:
"Additional data : 5GB Telkom Mobile Only" on for example http://www.telkommobile.co.za/order/SMC1309039/

Is this "additional data" valid for the entire 24 months?

Is there a coverage map that shows where this data is applicable and where the 150MB (all-network Data) would be? /how would one know which data is used at any moment?

Will the 150MB be Edge data only or 3G as well?

The TM data is used first. The all network data only gets used when you are in an area not covered by TM, provided that the area is covered by MTN.

All-network data is data that can be used on 2G and 3G on either the Telkom or MTN networks.

I wouldn't advice anyone to take up this offer, just now you will receive a bill shocker(OOBShark) for example if you don't monitor your usage or keep track on your phone to see if you on 8ta/telkom(displayed) but when on MTN says roam MTN. already in my area 8ta/telkom mobile (network only) has degraded over the months not receiving any bars. The take on their network is overwhelming

Any idea what the OOB rates are? Surely one can add more All Network data? And one can set your phone not to use any data on roaming if you need to...

Edit: looks like OOB rates are 30c per MB so its not so bad. 500MB OOB data would be R150.

TM sends you an SMS and stops your data connection once your bundle is depleted. As far as I know they're the only network that does this - this is why you'll never hear a TM user complain about the OOB shark

@YungYang wasn't aware of that! BrandPlus going to sign-up a contract with them if this is the case. Peace of mind
