I agree. Jeez guys, a human being died. Regardless of who she was or what she did, she doesn't seem to have been a bad person. Why the animosity?
My condolences to her family. May she RIP.

Guys

I never have and never will give condolonces to the Botha Family and the same for every politician

Dead happens OMG at 77 how long do you guys think she was still going to live ?

So if someone dies over the age of seventy it doesn't matter ? is that what you're saying, no-one is saying Oh why did she die, all we are saying is condolonces to the family

Sad that someones death gets dragged through the mud like this, whether you knew of her or not.

If people don't have anything good to say about the old girl then perhaps rather say nothing at all. It is really 'extremely' disrespectful.

Condolences to friends and family.

Me thinks MyDraadloos is a bit retarded,I mean, how can someone possibly correct someone's semantics and then proceed to post a grammatically incorrect sentence like "I known what a branch is, not sure which one dropped on your head".

Anyway, for a bit of free education - he surely needs it - George Goch is within the City of Johannesburg next to the largely industrial suburb of Denver.

I believe that any individual with a bit of morality and ethics would not trivialise the death of someone for any reason whatsoever. I for one, always feel sympathy for anyone and their close family and friends, regardless of creed or colour, if they lose someone they love, whether it be because of crime, accident, illness or natural causes.

Tsamaya sentle Adelaide!!!!!!!!!o robale ka Kagiso!!!!!!

So easy to forget the families and wives of those who were imprisoned for their beliefs.

Must have sucked to have to raise your kids without a father because his dedication to his beliefs took precedence.

She was well loved among her people and that is that. Let her be in this time of mourning and pay respect to what she believed in.
This is not the thread to argue around in on political terms. If in time there is reason her name should come up, then it is for that time.
My condolences to her family and let she rest in peace with her maker.

WOW
just found this site while doing some unrelated net research.
Suffice to say I found them... Whenever issues of apartheid, racism etc.. are discussed all the white folk in the room are sayin 'it wasn't me' It was some big bad afrikaans guy with a silly hat and a few cops.. yea right.. I love it..sitting at a braai or work function and all this current affairs come up and once again the white guys are so diplomatic and sincere in their sentiments it really makes you wonder who actually carried apartheid all those years.. but the safety of Anonymity clears bears all.
YES SA is rampant with crime, and yes the govt. is screwing up in alot of areas, and quite frankly affecting the poor black majority far more so than the elite whites...but how bad do you guys have it? You ever been to Steenberg Golf estate? or the Radisson hotel on a Sunday? or driven through one of these massive secure estates overlooking the sea in Cape Town? I don't see it overrun by BEE beneficiaries.. check the stats.. new entrants into the professional job market is still more than 80% white, the economy is doing better than ever. The govt, the non-whites have had less than 15years to get together what previous regime (of what no white person seemed to have condoned or been part of) have had 300years to build.
You guys are all smart ppl. business folks...put it down to a business model..and look at the timelines.. bring about new company culture, boost profilts, employee moral etc..

sigh...please just ban political debates...every time there is a thread about some person with a political background especially relating to the black leadership, they get dragged through ****. Freedom of speech is ok but some members should just think before they post a comment. Maybe some of members are just plain bored and love a good insulting session with each other...Get a life.

I've noticed a lot of members just say things because they hate the ANC. I hate them as well (well at least the power, money hungry retards that run critical functions of the country) but not every person is controlled and thinks by how some of them do. Mama Tambo was considered a hero for a reason. People pay respect for her for a reason not just because she's married to Oliver Tambo.

It has little to do with loving or hating the ANC. We get this sort of struggle ****e shoved down our throats night after night!

If she did some amazing things then OK, let's mention them. As far as I know she did not. She was in the UK for 30 odd years enjoying life there. She wasn't even married to ORT before she fled. Now she has been doing charity work using the money she 'earned' through her struggle connections, which is admirable, though not unexpected.

Apart from being the wife of ORT, what exactly warrants her being on the front page of the newspaper?

"struggle ****e shoved down our throats night after night" - nice one.

As opposed to? Some people are still living the apartheid legacy..night after night. you think people chose to go live on the outskirts of town in a squatte camp? What ppl. don't realise is suburbs like camps bay, claremont, constantia etc..all had 'black' residents..who then got moved..you might have to deal with the struggle talk but no one is moving you out your house and relocating you...for your its noise..for most it's a daily reality.

I think people can be forgiven for ignorance especially if you have not been at the receiving end of the stick.

I'm skeptical about Skeptik!!!

No I pay tribute to Oliver Tambo, Adelaide Tambo, and all the other stalwarts. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't be here. Now they are gone perhaps it is time for me to be gone because this future is not the future I wanted (and I can bet, neither did they.)

From what I have read about Oliver Tambo I also KNOW this is not the future he would have wanted for this country. He was really a great man and I wish he was still around to be our first democratic president.

anyways condolences to the Tambo family and may she rest in peace.

Again it sounds like Jhb and Cpt are 2 totally different worlds. I know of a lot of black people living in Sandton, Woodmead etc. No use use argueing it in this thread though it was started to pay respect to Adelaide Tambo.
