ADHD Teachers over reacting?

dude, ritalin sucks.
i have adhd, not hectic adhd but was bad enough for my old psychiatrist to give me ritalin.
it depressed me, i hardly wanted to do anything. i lost the will to socialize and all that.
so i went to a new psychiatrist, explained everything to him and told him that i only really take ritalin when im studying so i can concentrate. instead of ritalin he gave me concerta which i now take whenever im studying, doesnt depress me or make me dull. just makes me focus and concentrate.

Well it double sucks then, and it shows how ignorant Psychiatrists are, because Concerta is simply extended release "Ritalin". Same chemical. Different brand name.

I didn't like school much either, but am gratefull for the few things they did teach me....

well, honestly in all my interviews i had to show my matric certificate once when i applied for an A+ technician position. For the job which i am currently at as senior corporate software developer it was skill not paper that got me in.

though i guess you are right bout going and all....

In our education system it is sometimes necessary for kids to sit down and listen and to STFU. If they can't do it there's going to be problems.

true, but do all bodybuilders and athletes use the exact same manner of training ?
