Adobe cutting 750 jobs

Maybe if they didn't charge and arm, leg, kidney, half a liver and a crap house full of money for their products, they wouldn't have to do this....

And they sh*tcanned mobile flash. Now there's a shock.

Most probably linked with their choice to get rid of flash mobile development.

I'm sure we both would agree, they'd be much more successful (incl. financials) if they priced all their products under $300. i.e. make money on volume... and lose less to piracy.

I'm not sure about that. Adobe has the advantage of being the industry standard in the design field. Piracy works for them as people learn to use their products for free and end up purchasing them for full price when they start doing professional work.

Maybe if they actually enabled people to actually buy their products, they wouldn't have needed to do this

Their prices are insane, to say the least.

too expensive. too bloated. too arrogant.
they may be "industry standard", but i should imagine most of the industry is sick and tired of having no viable alternative.

That arogance that has only served to keep their revenue low.

Not only do they make it difficult to impossible for new clients to come on board re their restrictive pricing, but they also make it very difficult for their existing cliental to keep up to date.

... and piracy does not work to anyone's advantage.
