How do I change the path of "save as" for Adobe Reader to permanently be the same?

Why don't you ditch the cumbersome Adobe Reader with its large updates entirely, and use the much more streamlined freebie Foxit Reader, which is far easier to customise?

I don't have a choice, this is a work PC.
