Adsense Earnings 2023

Hey Web Devs

Hope we all doing well in the Web space

So I have been using adsense for around 4 years and I have noticed a very large drop in CPC recently. Not sure if its just me but my earnings are alot lesser these days. I know the Economy etc is not doing great and advertisers are not spending as much but companies are still advertising!

So info.. my current CTR is averaging 0.7 per day, could be better. CPC has dropped to around R1.20 where as last year was close to R2.50. I dont know whether im earning lesser or averaging with the SA industry.

Please share some info and methods you are using to try and boost earnings.. Its getting more difficult to make money these days. I could be using bad techniques, so please do share

Yes and no, but mostly no. Generally speaking Ad blockers aren't used by most folk, so while it'll have an impact it will be marginal (depending on the target audience).

OP, have you considered other ad serving networks?

I noticed the same. My earnings are abysmal now.

Haven’t noticed a downward trend in Google Ads effectivity for the last 6 - 10 months. Sales online have been really bad.

Not sure if they are aligned
