feo ... can you do me favour, please? I want to compare my connection to ADSL 4mbit at the same time, on the same file. Are you able to suggest a link where we can right now and just download a little something? :/
 
11.2MB in 3m 18 sec ... average transfer was about 58KB/sec
 
Hmmm ... so with that test you're 4mbit didn't really beat my 3.6 HSDPA :/

Damn ... was hoping you'd kill me to prove one cannot compare 4mbit ADSL to 3.6mbit in real life.
 
I also have a 4mb Line, and downloaded the file at exactly 20:12.

Took about 25secs going at 450KB/sec.

Just to note: I was using a Download manager (IDM to be exact)
 
Does a download manager make a huge difference? If he got the same as me without, perhaps we'll both get high with? What are you using and where can I get it?

For me, using IDM helps alot with most downloads.

Sometimes if I start a download using my browsers default downloader, it will go at about 20-30KB/sec, where as if I use IDM it will go between 200-460KB/sec
 
Hmmm .... excuse my stupid question, but is IDM a generic term or is there a specific one called IDM? :/ I wanna get and retest ...
