I also tested the same mesh file again using DAP and the speed was climbing fast over 250kb/s. Download managers FTW
 
Goes to show 3.6 HSDPA doesn't quite match 4mbit ADSL as some people think :/

That was actually my main reasoning for trying this : Vodacom so often tell me to go their speedtest which often shows 1.8-2.0mbit ... but real life speeds can never be compared to ADSL.

May only be my connection, but still :/

Hey guys,

Regarding the above posts on the effectiveness of IDM--are there any good linux (ubuntu) equivalents?

I've tried aria, d4x and a number of others--but none seems to be as good as IDM. What else is there?
