Please tell me what is the 'Hosted by' point on SpeedTest.net .

I am in Pretoria
Up until Thursday (27th) the 'Hosted by' point on SpeedTest.net would default to Neology, Jhb.

I had rather bad service (<0.5Mbit on a 4MBit line). Telkom technician said it was bad connections on the pole. This was fixed and ADSL is a lot better - varies between 0.6 to 2.9.

The strange thing is that now the default 'Hosted by' point on SpeedTest.net is either Vodacom Business or iSpace in Durban.

I feel it may merely be based on your international point of presence (where your ISP breaks out onto one of the undersea cables). I get Belville in Cape Town all the time despite the fact I live in Joburg. Locally for speedtest you should still use Neology as you are geographically closer.

Not sure whether i have a choice which is actually used for normal internet access.
Just found it weird that the default shown on SpeedTest.net coincidentally changed after the telkom technician worked on the pole connection.
