ADSL disconnecting.

Hey guys...

Ive been having problems with Telkom for the past few months, and now its driving me to insanity.

My problem is:

Whenever someone calls me, my internet disconnects. This is very frustrating. I'm pretty sure its not a filter issue, as I have filters installed. I have called telkom TWICE to fix this problem. They failed twice. (The technicians came to our house.)

So obviously they dont know how to fix this? Its also weird, because when I call someone, the line does nothing. I have tried different routers, but none of them work. Also, I never had this problem, but then a few months ago, this happened.

The top port is the line going to the router.

So yeah, can anyone please give me advice on what I should do or what you guys think the problem is?

I have no clue whats happening with that alarm though ;)
 
Just some basic troubleshooting I would do: Have you tried removing everything (all filters, devices connected to those filters) and plugging your DSL modem directly into the wall (and then calling yourself)? If you do that, and you don't experience any problems, that establishes that either one (or both) filters are faulty, or that something connected to the line is causing the issue. If you establish that the line works fine without anything else connected, slowly re-introduce each of your devices, testing after each one until you find out whether it is a specific filter (or device).
 
Yeah, ill try that. The weird thing is, even when my phone isnt plugged in the wall socket, and I phone myself, the DSL still disconnects.
