Anyone else having issues getting connected in PE?

My modem is syncing, but no PPPOE AC services are being found / no dialup is possible.

Any ideas?

According to Axxess ADSL's down all over PE, Telkom problem. Now we wait.

[IS Alert @ 16-11-2006 22:15] ADSL Service:

Telkom attending

forgot to mention, Linton Grange main exchange (the one with the big concrete tower) is where the problem is

Glad mine is still up. :)

yea, i was happy to see that mine was online back home - but would've preferred being able to access DB's and files back at the office. it had better be up by tomorrow though...

So I missed it by a few minutes last night then:) Seems to be fine here now too.

Im in PE and my ADSL went off the same time yesterday couldint connect Guess its becuase of the server upgrade. Telkom is upgrading Server Ips to the 10.0.0.0 Range. But its rediculous that the internet was restored at 4am.

Our company offices in Struandale PE have been without ADSL since yesterday, still down now.
Logged a call to Telkom and they seemed unaware of the problems in the area
:(

After 2 days of constant disconnects it completely offline now again.

yea, was out yesterday from 3pm till about 5pm too. it's fine here...for now. maybe telkom do rolling blackouts like eskom.... :P

I Hate Telkom!

I'm in Jeffreys Bay, ADSL connections here have been intermittent for about a week. On Thursday at around 17:00 my connection died. I was without access for 20 hours (try running a pc repair business with internet access!). Not even a 56k dial-up worked - nada, nothing. Telkom's response: Uh, ja, we know there is problem but we don't know when it will be fixed.

Connection was active for around 10 hours and then crashed again last night at 21:55 - this morning is is once again an intermittent connection. I just have one question for Telkom: HOW DO YOU EXPECT SMALL BUSINESSES TO SURVIVE?

Telkom = Satanspawn

PS www.helkom.co.za is down too, just as an added bonus
