This morning I was unable to connect to either of my accounts. Neither my IS local nor SAIX account wanted to connect ! I live in Bloem, is there anyone else here on the forums that are also from Bloem that perhaps experiences the same problems ??? I know they are performing maintenance in my area, but my router still sync's so I it hasnt got anything to do with my line. I use Route Sentry but, it just tries to connect and connect, but nothing happens !

It was still working perfectly last night... *sigh*

Anyone ?

Ok its back up, but holy polony.... ITS SLOW !!!!

Example:

Pinging saix.net [196.25.1.200] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 196.25.1.200: bytes=32 time=191ms TTL=242
Reply from 196.25.1.200: bytes=32 time=194ms TTL=242
Reply from 196.25.1.200: bytes=32 time=210ms TTL=242
Reply from 196.25.1.200: bytes=32 time=219ms TTL=242

Ping statistics for 196.25.1.200:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 191ms, Maximum = 219ms, Average = 203ms

Hopefully this will improve over the course of the afternoon, otherwise, I'm going to be one unhappy camper if I cant play games tonight with a decent ping :(

same here - Weltevreden Park Roodepoort since 1pm.
I also know of one other person near me with same issue.

Make that three of us in the area with the problem. I'm in the Strubensvalley area....According to my IPCop logs, my connection went down at 16:15. Trying to get through to Telkom support is impossible!

I went down at 1pm - other guy around 4:45pm
Seems as soon as it resets, you cannot authenticate.

Well, I dont use a router.....I have an IPCop machine with a PCI DSL adaptor.
My logs show the ffg when it went down this afternoon:

Each time I try, I get the "timeout waiting for PADO packets" error. I've seen this before, about a year ago. Telkom had a problem with some router. Once they sorted it out.....my connection was fine. I wonder what they up to now?

I'm having a serious problem with SAIX accounts in Bordeaux - Joburg/Randburg area.

According to my router, they connect. But no traffic can be transferred - local or international, and pings/tracerts are extremely patchy.

My "local only" IS account is working fine, though. It's even loading international sites, albeit a bit slowly.

You're close to me as well......Looks like we all cooked tonight :( Hope it doesnt last too long.

Now I know why I was so rudely disconnected last night ;) :p

Back online, but I'm peaking 256KBps on my 4Mb line. I normally get around 450KBps. I'm not sure but isn't maintenance suppose to make things better and faster. Maybe it'll be fine in the morning.
