That's an interesting comment, I am ready to cancel my ADSL, line is with Afrihost. I think I will test this when I cancel and move my line back to Telkom, must Telkom be the ISP as well?

I have the exact same problem. My line has been fine for the last few months now(Before that, I had the same problem). About 2 weeks ago line speed dropped to 1mb from 10mb. Just before the tech came(last Sunday) line was perfect. Low pings, high speed. So he couldn't find any fault. The next day everything went down the drain again. My modem shows max rate is now 1mb, syncing just below that. And it's such a struggle if an ISP manages your line, because it takes almost 2 days for them to respond. And another 2 to beg them to get Telkom out. Hopefully this Sunday(Looks like the only time they have) they will come out again.

Well theres hope, contacted TelkomZA and my line is up and running again, hopefully it lasts this time
