Everyone is on the web going emo on their stupid blogs and forums, and tearing wet tissues in anger... But no one is complaining to mweb or the isp's are they?

Odd dude i am on mweb and flying along, pulled 11 gb last night.

Same here , I've been getting better than usual speeds in the day aswell on MWEB past 2 days. Flying along.

My downloads are currently running at 441.1KB/s... I really cant complain about the service I'm receiving from Mweb. YES it has its problems from time to time, but so far I can account much of that to upstream providers and not to Mweb themselves.

On my second "reference number" already ... because the first reference number they assigned me was "not registered on the system" whatever that means.[/-]

EDIT: Scratch that.... they just fixed it....

but our office phone lines have just gone down again

MWeb Uncapped, Afrihost Capped and WebAfrica prepaid are all unusable for me in Cape Town on 4Mbps line.
Each have 1000ms pings to google.com, and each stream YouTube at < 10KBps.

I was getting full linespeed on speedtest to cape town server with afrihost and webafrica, and 60% line speed on on MWeb, but international was crawling for all three... very strange.

Upgrading to 4mb line now

I'm busy upgrading to a 4mb line within my Telkom 24mnth contract. I thought my line issues was with the new setup? I have great speeds between 16:00 and 18:00. But from about 18:30 the line just dies.

Called Telkom support last night and the lady walked me through DNS settings and pinging some ip addresses. Later she just said that the line is fine, so not a technical support issue any more.

According to her its my anti-virus (MS Essentials on Win7, btw) that prevents connection to the internet...

Funny how the problem ducks up at the same time every day, on both my pc and XP laptop ?!?!?

I hope it's the SAT3 cable, because then there's hope for next week

AXXESS uncapped is also up to crap.
I manged to do alot with Mweb uncapped in a months time.
With this crap going on who knows how much I'll do.
