ADSL in Silverlakes

I recently moved to the Silverlakes area in Pretoria, specifically Silver Willow Village in Willow Acres.
I had my 4Mb uncapped ADSL moved from my previous house to the new one. The had to move me to a new Telkom exchange. At my new house my ADSL line dropped constantly. I then downgraded my line from 4Mb to 2Mb and it still kept on dropping. After about three weeks of logging calls with Telkom it was eventually sorted out, they did not say what was wrong.
Unfortunately I am still on 2 Mb, which is a real pain. Apparently the exchange does not support higher speeds...
I can't believe that an upmarket area such as Silverlakes does not not have a faster Telkom exchange.

Same with me, I have 4 mb line and intermittent dropping is driving me crazy, I have been reporting the line so many times I think they know my voice already.

I had a technician here once that told me that the one pc board in the exchange is the culprit and should be replaced.

Hear the other day that the exchange will be upgraded this year still to 10mb ..
