Hello

I signed up for mweb 384 uncapped on Tuesday last week with them also calling Telkom to convert my line.

I'm planning on buying the router and that other boxthingy at telkom direct so I was wondering if any one could point me to a manual install guide

I live in Parow North so if any one in the same area had their line converted recently give me an estimate of how long it took your line to convert ?

Any help would be appreciated

Good Afternoon ChrisGeo, the router should come with a guide; however you could also contact our MWEB call centre to assist you with the installation/set-up.

Not much to do to convert the line just 2 wires to be run in the exchange ..get the modem and put it on the line then you will know when it syncs that your line has been converted then just run the CD that comes with it(just follow the instructions that come with the modem and have the order number handy when you run the CD very simple )

I also read somewhere that I had to buy a Pbox or sumthing to place on the line going to the house phone to reduce noise affecting the router? Is that correct?

All will come in the box from Telkom they give you a filter
no problem , all start some where
every thing you will need is supplied
The diagrams are very easy to follow when installing the modem/router

took a week for me, also in parow north.
