ADSL Line Bonding

Some reading material on ADSL bonding, was told their are some settings options that need to be set at the DSLAM (heresay)
http://www.automatedhome.co.uk/Internet/ADSL-Bonding-How-To-and-Review.html

Each of these lines would be bonded together using MLPPP -“ both at the ISP and at my end using a Linux based self-built PC router and using free software from FreeStuffJunction (www.freestuffjunction.co.uk/bondedcd.shtml)

IS is bonding 2 x 1 Mb/s uncapped lines using the Billion Routers, conect from one router to the next router to form 2 Mb/s

Just some more info on Fishbone ADSL bonding

We run 3x4mbps lines here (going to 4 soon ..)

Speed as per speedtest.net Johannesburg server:

Download 14.54 mbps
Upload 1.19 mbps

Ping 29 secs.

Good solution and comparitively cheap but expect the usual Telkom issues from time to time .. :(

TC Channel Bonding

i only know of 2 companies that do channel bonding. Vox aka Fishbone and Altech (TechConcepts) TC Channel Bonding. bonding router is expensive, data cost / gig is more expensive as you have to use the isp's bandwidth

bonding is still kewlio. attended a HD videocon demo over fishbone (4x4) speed gr8 even after 2 lines disconnected.

downloaded a 400MB+ file @ a reasonable 1MB/sec :)
Fishbone single point of failure - 1 data centre
TC Channel bonding - 2 data centres

all in all prices need to drop for it to be used at home. can i share this connection with my neighbor and my neighbor's neighbor, and so on¿
