Hi
So it finally happened to me as well. Two days ago, the internet was very slow (even for 2 Mbps line). Thought it was an exchange problem again so I left it. Yesterday it was better, but downloads max out at 1 Mbps. So I check the router stats and its syncing at 1 Mbps with an SNR of 5.8 dB. Must be Telkom's new system that adjusts sync rate to maintain a stable connection that downgraded the sync. My SNR used to be about 12 to 14 dB (max sync rate according to router was about 6 Mbps).
So assuming it's a line fault, I tried to call 10210. Answering machine basically tells you to sod off, due to unprotected strike action. So I install the Telkom app again, but now I can't log a fault on it or check my balance? So I go to their website and log a fault there, but up to now no email notification with a reference number.
Anything else I can try? Is TelkomZA still around here? Can I phone the local Telkom shop?
Thanks
