Hi all,

Has anyone ever heard of this?
I am having Problems on my line speed it changes as it pleases (First of all i have a Dlink DSL-2750U i know it's not a good router waiting for my new one :) The Dlink Shows your upload and download line speed under status and this has always been stable on 4000 Kbps, but from last friday it started changing from 93kbps D and 188kbs U, really random speeds. I am so tired of calling Telkom i can just as well speak to a brick. Does anyone have an explanation for this? O I have a 4Mb line.
Sorry for my bad grammer and spelling not English.

Thanks in advance

Post your line stats. Go to Status>Statistics and then post the stats in the ADSL section...

Hi Thanks for the replys
as requested

I Aso think its noise

You got hectic noise on that line! The attenuation is acceptable, but the noise is way to high (Snr being a low number close to 6db indicates this) , if you have a phone on the line pick it up and listen for static, that's usually a good indication. Report a fault to whoever manages your line anyway though to get it sorted

I'd also request a port reset, that may help a bit, in terms of your sync rate

Hi Segg thanks for the responce. I got a port reset yesterday I will try and get a Telkom techi to come and have a look and will get another port reset. Will post if i get anything sorted Thanks

Dump qeustion but Is there maby a posabilitie that this is caused by my router?

It's remote, but still a possibility, if you have a spare I'd check, but don't go out and buy one just to try

Hi All,

Sorry for the delayd response had no internet for a couple of days. So a Telkom techie finally came to check out my problem and they had to lay an entire new 50m cable from my house to some where and the problem seems to be fixed.
The best part was that the line completely died while he was here.
Got a new Mweb router and unfortunately the router does not say the line noise :(
but the internet seems to be stable (can even Youtube:)
Thanx for all the help and info much appreciated
