I have used Netgear dg834gt for the last few years and i was very happy with it.Now i has packed up i i need a replacement.The problem is that all new netgear modems have a built in antenas in it and my old dg834gt had an antena that i could unscrew and i have replaced it with with external 12 db antenna that gave me an extra range(and i really need that).The model since than has been discontinued.Can anyone suggest a modem that is on the market that has an option of replacing an antenna on it?Thank you.

well he wants adsl modem with his preferences so it has to do with adsl modem 
so they are related

@ digital - My best experience with Wireless products so far has been Linksys, so when I buy my ADSL MODEM / WIFI Router it will be a Linksys. I hear Netgear & Billion is good. I would stay far away from D-Link.
If you in Cape Town, you can get antennas that should just screw in from Communika (Main Road, Woodstock).

as funny as i might sound this http://www.freeantennas.com/projects/template2/index.html has solved the problem. I used Netgear DG834G with built in antenna and put this "thingy" on the top.I now i have strong enough signal.I still can not believe that it works.
