ADSL modem vs VDSL modem

Quick question I currently have a 20 mbps line and I am still using my old telkom adsl modem which works fine but wanted to ask if i do get a VDSL modem will it be better?
anybody have any experience with this?

if your adsl modem works fine and you are planning on staying on 20megs then leave it as is.. but if you planning on upgrading to 40megs then you will need the vdsl modem.
 
However, 20Mbps VDSL is a lot faster than 20Mbps ADSL.

I tested this when upgrading, personally I would get the VDSL modem (which I did).

More upload and less overheads, if you can, always go for VDSL. Same price as ADSL for 20Mbps, only the router costs more most of the time.
