ADSL or IBurst

Given whats happening on the 1st of November, would you go for ADSL or IBurst?

Please reply to this thread with your option and a reason.
 
Well I have 384dsl and for me coupled with a 30gig account it was heaven.
OK not heaven, because I was paying through my teeth, but it is reliable I can do p2p, ftp and game on local servers no problem.

Fact is coming November things will change for dsl and Iburst maybe a better option we just have to pray that something will happen in the near future to get dsl in SA on track.
 
would you rather sleep with a hooker that has aids
or with an amazingly hot girl who has no bad viruses but wants to spend all your money

iburst is the first
adsl is the second
 
nice analagy (if u spell it liek that), but i dont really agree, iburst aint that bad. But id sleep with the hot chick any day thanks.
 
yea i know it works for my client

but sometimes slow
sometimes fast

depends on the wind direction or something lol
 
If you're planning on doing online gaming, then Iburst won't cut it, too much latency. If you're just planning on downloading and that kind of thing, then it should be fine.
 
ADSL is a definite answer if you are going to be using it for non mobile reasons and also high bandwidth applications. i-burst as said wont cut it with latency dependant applications

I will always choose ADSL over anything else, only if you need mobility choose iburst, and Vodacom 3G is my preffered choice for wireless
 
i will go for adsl even after Nov 1, just having the freedom to play games locally etc (to an extent!) In SA i still think adsl is best, but it really depends what you need it for!
 
only in SA where people are forced to choose between fixed line and wireless :rolleyes: wireless is supposed to be more of a convenience than a commodity, but here we are forced to look into it as an alternative
