Hello. I'm new to this forum, so my apologies in advance if this is not the right place to post this question - or if it has alrady been answered elsewhere.

I currently do not have any form of broadband and simply make use of Vodacom's monthly data bundles. This is becoming increasingly frustrating though, as the data bundles, which are used by myself, my wife and two kids invariably run out midway through the month. So I'm looking at my options, and would like advice on whether to consider uncapped mobile wifi, or ADSL instead. I do not have any form of landlines installed currently, and from what i gather, i would have to install a Telkom landline, rent the landline, and rent an ADSL line should i go for the ADSL option? I'm not sure whether this is really necessary, as we really only go online to do the basics like social media, internet banking, and general internet. Truth be told, I'm a bit lost at the moment on how all this works! Please may i ask for advice on what my options are, what the better option would be, what would be needed (i.e. router, lines, etc) and which providers would be best to go with. I live in Centurion. I'd ideally also not want to spend more than R500 per month.

Thanks in advance,

Riaan.

There are other options for mobile data, but you could have a look at Afrihost - depending on your monthly usage this may suit you. They run on the MTN network, so make sure you have a decent signal if you're considering them. Your budget will get you 16.5GB per month.
