ADSL problems in the Equestria area

Anyone with this problem, pls contact TelkomZA (mybroadband user), send him a PM and all yr diagnostics and maybe he can assist you. The process was simple enough, just be patient..

Good luck!

Still having issues apparently Willows 3 (which I'm) on is not congested:(. So I have no idea if I'll be moved.

That is what they said to me as well. I just kept at them.
TelkomZA reported the problem to the correct people. They phoned me about 8 times and every time asked me what the problem was etc. Every time I told them the same thing.
The problem is definitely the willows 3 exchange. When I got moved to willows 5 all my problems were immediately gone.

No one at Telkom was able to get that I wanted to be moved to another exchange and they just kept telling me they would test the line etc.

What I did to get it done was to tell the Telkom representative that last phoned me "I want to be moved to the willows 5 exchange" to which he replied "Oh so you want to be moved to the willows 5 exchange? I will do it and phone you back.". 60 min later he phoned me and it was fixed.

So I think when they ask you what the problem is dont tell them just say you want to be moved to willows 5.

Thank you for the advice!

This is where all the problem is. Eishkom doesn't know where they are doing and its costing productivity level of both homes and bussiness. I have never trusted them so I have been stuck with the Mobile Broadband unfortunately from their mobile group but its far much better and the pricing is competitive there with no line rental payments.

Can't get my line transferred, no response from TelkomZA and the call centre has absolutely no idea how to transfer a line, I keep getting bounced from one department to the next, going to cancel my line. No point in continuing with this bs service.

TelkomZA responded to my query immediately.

Guess lady luck was on my side.

My line is totally fine after being moved to the willows 5 exchange. I have full line capacity and no latency issues at any time of the day.

Recently moved to Equestria Estate, same issues, same frustrations. Al i wanne do is play a game where the character actually moves when i click and not 3 seconds later.................. I am however going to try and go the wireless route. not paying telkom for something thats gonna be broken for another 6 - 9 months.....

what i love about this Jokecom is that they know they are not supplying a proper service yet they will not offer some form of discount or something to compensate for their uselessness to maintain demand....

did you call 10210 do request this ?

Also staying in Equestria Estate.

Been having issues with my line for over 2 years. Although Telkom says maximum speed on my number is 10Mbps, I am struggling with an unstable 4Mbps due to very high attenuation.

@Dangermouse - Would love to know what connection you are on and how stable it is now that you are on "Willows 5"

Staying in equestria. Have had no internet connectivity for the last 5 days. Mweb says its a telkom issue. Anybody else in the area experiencing the same problem recently?

Phoned mweb. Call escalated and fault logged. Telkom has already phoned me twice to tell me that they were looking into it and that I can retest. Pleasantly surprised by the quick turnaround time. Haven't tested yet though coz I'm at work.

Hi guys,

I am on 2Mbps Business Uncapped from Afrihost.

In terms of line stability and speed I can pull about 211KB/s at any time of day.
I have no issues with my line what so ever.

I really had the exact same issues as you guys and as soon as I was moved to the willows 5 DSLAM it was immediately fixed.

They tested my line a million times but they always test during working hours when there is no congestion. Just tell them that you want them to move you to the other exchange.

Hope you get it sorted out.

Got home to test and nothing had been fixed. A week without internet now.. :/

They are supposed to be fixing it today (got the call from the Telkom guy).. hopefully this is not a repeat of my experience earlier in the week.

I recently moved into Equestria Estate and my experience is appalling. I will have to try the TelkomZA route.

Do any of you have an idea when the 20mb/40mb lines will be introduced in Equestria?
