Hi

I'm thinking of getting a ADSL line and a Linksys WAG354G wireless router with built in ADSL modem.
The ADSL wall jack, will it have a RJ45 or RJ11 connection? I see the Linksys router has a RJ45 jack on the back of the router.
So can I use a straight though RJ45 cat5 cable to connect the routers line port to the ADSL wall jack?
How does it work?

Cheers

RJ11 Connector. as far as i know the WAG54G has 4 RJ45 and one RJ11. seems the WAG354G does not specify the port type. why not go for the WAG54GS. it definately has a RJ11 Port. (have one @ home) got a nasty surprise with a WRV54G. had no ADSL port. just a LAN port into which i had to plug a ADSL2MUE to get it working.

does state that it has got a phone cable included in the box.
i give up why dont they just say what port types it uses. they can even use (brackets) if they want to...

As Tsimo said RJ11.

Some wireless routers don't have any ADSL capability but come with a seperate RJ45 WAN port where you are supposed to plug in your seperate ADSL or cable modem into.

It is best to make sure and buy a ADSL modem/router and double check the packaging and spesifications.

In the product manual the Line port looks like a RJ45 to me, same size.
But found out from Linksys and the Line port is def a RJ11.
