I currently have WiFi internet connection, but I am thinking of going over to ADSL.

I am a total n00b when it comes to ADSL, so, can someone assist me here pls.

i see on telkom's site, it is set out as follows
  • Analog Line Rental -Rxxx
  • ADSL Line Rental - Rxxx
  • ISP Cost - Rxxx

I currently have no Telkom line installed, but the cables are there, so am i correct, in thinking, if i start now, i have to pay all three of the above?

and the MWeb "all inclusive", does it include all of the above, or do i still need to pay Rxxx to telkom?

Hoping my question makes sense

Thanks,

To answer your question... if you take the Mweb all inclusive, you will pay the following to Mweb:
•ADSL Line Rental - Rxxx
•ISP Cost - Rxxx

and the following to Telkom:
•Analog Line Rental -Rxxx

Hi endlesslyonline

Firstly you'll need to have a voice line installed. The MWEB All Inclusive package is made up of the ADSL line & Data, which excludes the voice rental.

First sign ups work on a pro-rata basis.

By Wifi do you mean 3G?

Hi endlesslyonline,
I would first check out the availability of ADSL in your area. You can do that here
Then if you select one of the bundles from Telkom that includes ISP you would receive one bill with all threee items.
You could elect to have the ISP with another provider in which case you would not be billed the ISP charge by Telkom.
Mweb and Afrihost do offer a service where they are the ISP and they control the data side of your connection as well which can make for speedier anwering of queries in the event the service is down.

Regards

Tim
