On the 19th of December, my Telkom land line and ADSL line both died. I logged a report the same day. I know it's Telkom's fault, because both my telephones are dead, and the DSL refuses to sync.

It is now two weeks later, and neither my voice line nor the DSL are working. Four expensive, time-consuming and fruitless calls to Telkom's ADSL department later, I decided to go to a Telkom Direct outlet to talk to someone in person.

The women there told me she could find nothing relating to my reference number on her computer (:mad: ), so she called the ADSL department (:mad: ), which took the usual +- 45 minutes to get an operator. The idiot on the other end of the line apparently said they had a "backlog" of calls from my area, and they we seeing to things.

I'm getting desperate. Are these people ever going to come and fix my phone? They aren't giving me back the small fortune they steal from me everyday their crap products don't work.

Sorry for the ubiquitous rant, but I needed to bitch.

I'll be Neotel's first ****ing customer. :mad:
 
Log a call at the billing department and demand that they credit you for the days that you've been without service. My line's been down (exactly the same) since the first... After a walk to the local telkom outlet today, logging another call, and demanding they log a call for credit... By the time I got home (not even 10 minutes), my line was back up and flying... :)
