I personally do not actually have an ADSL line and therefore do not know very much about ADSL and its needs...

My girlfriends house had an ADSL modem/router which got struck and we have multiple ADSL accounts so need a router that has bridge mode. Her mum went out and bought a netgear one without bridged mode, cuz the guy at Incredible Corruption said it was the best, and the job is now mine to research what router we could use. I said this would do as there is another wireless router in the network and it would be simple to setup: http://rebeltech.co.za/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=145_154_159&products_id=2887

It satifies our needs for a modem with bridge mode and stuff.

Now, she says she is thinking about upgrading the line speed from 384 to perhaps even 4mb. so does that change anything? do we need a specific router that can handle speeds differently or is it all the same and I can get whatever?

Please help me!

Thanks :)

Your router should support 4 mb easily if your line stats are good enough to handle the 4 meg speeds

Can you type her line stats (attenuation & SNR Margins or Noise Margins)

One of the best routers atm is the TP-Link W8960N 300Mbps Wireless N ADSL2+ Router and one of the cheapest at R489

Incredible connections tells everyone it's a good router just to make a sale even though it is not that good and quite pricy
