Hi guys

Looking for a decent ADSL router with good wifi coverage. Currently have an old Billion 400g which has started acting up.

The router has to have 4 Ethernet ports, N300 wireless and usb. I have two pc's and a TV connected with cables and one pc and two phones with wifi. Preferably should have gigabit lan, but does not seem that it will fall within my budget. I am currently looking at the following:

Netgear DGN2200

D-Link DSL-2750U

The cheaper the better.

Thanks

Consider an ADSL modem plugged into a gigabit switch: the combo should be cheaper.

ASUS DSL N12-U. You can get it from various online stores and hardware dealers on this forum.

+1 for the Asus, also ADSL modem + routerboard is pretty cheap. (I pay cost but I'm sure retail will still fall within your budget).

Thanks for the advise guys. Decided to go with separate modem and router.

Just a quick question regarding WiFi antennas. I am able to get 3 x 11dbi antennas for the router which currently has 3 x 5dbi antennas. Will this significantly increase the WiFi's range. I read somewhere that this my cause dead zones as the degrees the higher dbi antennas sent out the signal is less the lower dbi antennas.

Could I use 2 x 11dbi and 1 x 5dbi?
