Don't know if there's another thread posted on this. Have a Telkom account that has been capped @ 3.6Gigs. Phoned Telkom and they mentioned that it's capped. Now the weird thing is I can still access international sites but it's very slow. Local sites work fine. The only problem I notice is that the ADSL disconnects frequently.

Has Telkom again relaxed it's policy. AFAIK Telkom allowed access to banking sites once capped but it seems like most sites could be accessed.

I tried another non-Saix account and I didn't get any disconnects.

Seems strange - to start with 3.6 Gigs seems very low to be capped (is it a 2Gig or 3Gig account?) and I have certainly never encountered having international access once capped

I wish an ISP would do a god-dammned softcap like iBurst (not like openproxy) just a proper softcap.

Obviously unlimited access or a bigger cap would be better, but please - something like a real softcap at least.

That would work if Iburst's softcap actually worked 100% of the time. I left them after 12 months of being hard capped 2 months in a row. Loyal customer stabbed in the back, left high and dry with no internet. Telkom came to the rescue.

3Gb account.

If you have actually been capped you are very unlucky.:( My 3Gig account is currently still uncapped at about 7Gig. I Have only been capped twice before once at about 18Gig and once at about 9Gig.

Telkom ISP soft cap

6.9Gig on a 3Gig account - still going ...sshh quiet month for dl.

Dunno how they work out the average use? per Radius server or what?

Last cap was Dec 2006 @ 13Gig
