ADSL speed in Helderview

Since Friday afternoon ADSL speeds have been close to dead at 3kbps, but for some strange reason at 1am to 6am every night the ADSL line stabilizes and goes back to 190kbps (on my 2mb account MWEB).

I have used 2 different routers and 2 different ISP accounts to test since Friday night with the same results on both routers and accounts, the accounts were an MWEB 2MB uncapped and a Telkom 4GB "Backup account".

Here is a traceroute to saix.co.za at 5 am last night. NOTE:this is when ADSL lines stabalize.

At the moment im at work so i can only do a traceroute in the afternoon later today and add it to this post, but for now i would really appreciate it if i can find others in the area with the same problem as I am suspecting the exchange has become congested.

My friend having the exact same problem as you living in helderview as well ( about 1.5km from lord charles bp). Oddly enough I also live in helderview (About 1km away from bp), but my dsl is almost perfect.
He said he also logged so many errors to no avail. LEt me know if you find out anything
 
Hi Piet

I was wondering what ISP you use. If you use one that uses the MTN Backbone, I think there are a few issues at the moment.
